Overview:
The Philosophy department was established in 1965 under the Faculty of Humanities.
The department had been guided by capable Professors i.e., Prof. I.C. Sharma, Dr. P.K. Mathur, Prof. Girija Vyas (ex. MP), S.R. Vyas, and Prof. Nirmala Jain.
The department is currently under the leadership of Professor Sudha Choudhary (Head of the Department)
Vision: -
Since its inception, the department has been dedicated to creating an interactive platform for the holistic growth of students and to providing & promoting an in-depth understanding of various dimensions of human life through a profound philosophical perspective.
Professor Sudha Choudhary:
Professor Sudha Choudhary has more than 20 years of teaching experience.
Professor has been invited across the nation as a resource person.
Her pioneering efforts to conduct a philosophical study of tribes (especially the tribes of south Rajasthan) have resulted in a better understanding of tribal issues. She is also the convener of the university’s Adivasi Milap Project.

Vivekanand, Ambedkar, and Gandhian social philosophy.
